2B20.1 Pressure vs. Depth

[Setup Time: 10 Min.] [Current Condition: Good]

Info

A large cylinder with holes at different heights is filled with water. The higher pressure at greater depth forces the water out with greater horizontal velocity.

Setup Instructions

1. Set this up at the edge of the front table, facing the sink inside the table.

2. When the rubber stoppers are pulled off the spouts, the water shoots out – and doesn't go past the edge of the sink, so it should all drain without a problem.

Parts List

Tall Cylinder with 4 Spouts in B. Fluids & Mech, 1B

Large Plastic Beaker in B. Fluids & Mech, 1B
